About

Boscastle & Crackington Gig Club was formed in 2004, with an aim of bringing this dynamic sport to our two communities and those around them. The club was formed with the support of our neighbours, Bude Gig Club and Port Isaac Gig Club.

From the outset the club has intended to be open, friendly and inclusive. We enter races in and around North Cornwall, with a preference for longer events.

The club currently has active rowers from aged between 14 to 70, with ladies & men’s crews, vets and supervets. Apart from racing we enter and create social and fun events on the beautiful north coast of Cornwall.

We row from Boscastle Harbour, Port Gavern beach and Upper Tamar Lakes, Kilkhampton. All locations are weather and wind dependant and are announced on our Facebook site. Technique sessions are normally held at the lakes.
